The story begins when a couple begins to break up. Married for twenty-five years, William R. Green and his Yvonne teeter on the brink of divorce when an extramarital affair committed by the wife is discovered. Forced to leave home, Yvonne takes refuge in the arms of N.Y.P.D. Lt. Robert Wells, her former partner and the same man whom she had an affair with. During a vacation in the Bahamas, Yvonne begins to have second thoughts after paying a visit to a local witch. Meanwhile, a businesswoman named Dana finds herself struggling when she starts losing her top clients after a series of misfortunes. As if losing money was not bad enough, she could not find any peace from her insecure boyfriend, Kevin, who forces her to choose between her long-term relationship with her former lover William, or her relationship with him.

Complicating matters further is Joann, who seeks to reclaim her former lover William. Soon William returns to her side ready to do battle and to comfort her, but while she laid within William's arms she asked, through the congestion in her chest and her runny nose, "Why does it have to hurt, to love you?" Pain shot straight to his heart, but the pain he felt would never surpass the heart ache and problems he'd caused in the lives of his former lovers like Dana, Andrea, Grace, and Joann. Far away, Robert plans to kill William after suffering Yvonne’s rejection of him. Will this web of deceit and tangled relationships come to a bitter end? Read the book to find out.

In the mystical tale Shadows of the Heart, Lord'Williams introduces William and Yvonne Green who the reader will immediately recognize is not your average couple. William posses psychic abilities and has unusual connections with his mistresses, who also knowingly or unknowingly possess special powers that he attemps to help them awaken. After years of dealing with William's cheating, Yvonne takes off to the Bahama Island with her new heartthrob, Robert. It is in the Bahamas that she realizes that she, too, has psychic ability and that the strange things that have happened to her are not her mind playing tricks on her. Will she go back home and work things out with her husband, so that together they can use their powers to make the world a better place? Shadows of the Heart was indeed a very good read. Intriguing, sensual, and action packed are some words that can be used to describe Lord'William's style of writing. If you are looking for a mystical yet real-life journey with the added bonus of a read that is different than most everything being produced today, then Shadows of the Heart is your book.
